CM METHOD

ANALYSIS BY CM METHOD UNI 1121 It measures the humidity of a sample of masonry employing a calcium carbide hydration process. The free moisture present in the sample reacts with the calcium carbide to produce gas; the increase in pressure inside the container is measured by a pressure gauge and then displayed as the percentage of moisture present in the sample. A result with an accuracy of 0.1% is obtained within a few minutes.
